Back in the Garden

Today was the first day of the new year that I went out and gardened again. It felt so good to get my hands dirty again as I tended to the earth and turned the soil with my hands. I loved seeing the worms and the spiders as I cleared away the weeds that have started to come in. Somehow, life doesn't seem so bad when I am gardening. The sun and breeze and smell of the dirt is like a tonic to my wounded heart.
